On Russian Soil

The moment we've been dreaming of for over a year has arrived -- we landed in St. Petersburg this afternoon! We've been here just a few hours, still getting acclimated to having to sound out the signs on the street, not knowing where we are, not understanding more than a word here and a word there, etc. We dropped off our bags, unpacked a bit, and now we're at the home of our supervisor Menachem for Shabbat dinner.
